For some reason I cannot see the screenshot. In a standard, unmodified system you should be able to add up to 9 dimension types to a ledger (versions 6.5 and 7). However, there are ways to limit the number of dimensions. There is an activity code that limits the number of dimensions. I think the activity code is BINBD. You may want to check what the settings are for that activity code. Other possible causes could be customization, permissions or a 3rd party add-on that overrides this setting.

I was just thinking about another thing. Do you already have the third dimension type defined? It is possible that Sage ERP X3 does not let you continue if it recongnizes that all your defined dimension types have already been assigned.

I have no 3rd party add-on. Also checked the setting in the activity code is said maximum dimension 20

I am trying to increase 1 more dimension in the ledger but the moment I change the number is prompt errors.

Did you already define the dimension before you tried assigning the additional dimension?

Yes I did...but I created another folder and test without assigning any dimension, I tried to increase

the dimension, same errors message.

fyi -- I am using the BRI Legislation.

I already resolved the issue.

What I did not do was to add in the additional dimension and I went straight to the Ledger and increase the no. of dimension.
