Every client of our requests that when using Search fields on the left list they would like the default to be  "contains" instead of "start with", or at least the setting to be saved once selected once.

I am fairly certain this has been asked and answered before but would be interested to know if anyone else's clients frustrated by this feature.

Alternatively is there any wildcard character I can use that the system will recognise so if I leave as starts with and enter *ABC  .

this appears to be on all versions from 7, 8 ,9 and just tested in 11.
