CRM (in X3 NOT the stand alone CRM) for tracking project costs

SUGGESTED

Does anyone use CRM in X3 for tracking project costs?  We 'went live' if you can even call it that in Feb. and have been dealing with major issues in CRM since then.  We track all of our costs at the price we pay (no standard or Avg. cost) and the costs are to be tracked against the project they are bought or used against.  We were set up to use CRM for this and have had nothing but problems since.  We cannot add miscellaneous costs directly to the job via any method we have been shown, we cannot add labor without first calculating it outside of the system and then adding it, basically the only thing we can add directly to the jobs via the system are costs that are placed on a po and received and paid in the system at the exact same $ amount.

We have since been told that most of the consultants don't know much about this module and have not been successful at finding any help via Sage.  Does anyone else use this module for project cost tracking? If so how and if not and you track cost via projects how do you do that without CRM?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sage U. does have Sage ERP X3 - CRM (Customer Service: Managing Leads and Prospects & Managing After-Sales Services) training.  To your question, you cant add labor directly to the project, however you can create labor, parts & expense items in products through the After-Sales tab and use these items to add by sales order or invoice to a project.

We have to track labor on the jobs, by person, rate, hours and task, WEEKLY, posting it via an invoice would not be possible to that detail unless it was manually calculated elsewhere.  We have been shown a time tracking process but it does not calculate the $ per person the way we need it tracked on the jobs.

Also we have been shown multiple ways to add things (such as freight charged by a supplier) that are added after the PO is placed against the project but none of them have worked.  If there is another way to add these we would love to learn it because all of our consultants have not been able to show us a process yet that works.

Is there a better or another way to track projects than using CRM?  We don't use any of the sales functions of the module we were told to use it just for financial/inventory tracking purposes and it has not been helpful for us.
