I have received several emails alerting me to the fact that Sage has announced that the end of life for the DacEasy product line will be September 2016. I would like to start a thread on what product lines people have chosen to move to. I hope that Sage will keep this thread open.
More information is available at the following link:
The only Sage Product that Sage DacEasy converts directly to is Sage 50 which has a migration conversion already built into it. You need to have an accounting company data setup for it to recognize it. Here's a website for more information on migration:
Sage DacEasy to Sage 50 migration customer resource center will answer a lot of questions about migration: http://go.na.sage.com/Value_2014_Q3_IB_DacEasy_S50USMigrate_033114
The phone number for Sales to start Migration is 1-800-322-3279.
Thank you Scott I am aware of the limited amount of information that Sage 50 will migrate. I am just wandering what other options are out there be it either sage or not. I think it would be interesting to hear what other people have moved to and how it is working.
I am so sad to see the DacEasy Product discontinued. I have used it since version 3 all the way to Version 2014. I would gladly pay twice the price to keep DacEasy!!
At this point it looks like Quick Books is the best option for our business. I would like to go with Sage 50 but, the Star Ship Shipping Program does not integrate and it does not have a POS. I know there is a third party POS for Sage 50 but the two factors together have us favoring Quick Books.
Thank you ABC BOOKS I hope others will post as well.
Be careful with Quick Books my company tried switching earlier this year to quick books and after 5 days we switched back to Dac. We are a manufacturing distribution company and had problems with the ship order and picking ticket part of the program.
