What are you exporting? Exporting CR is not the best method to get data into Excel.

I'm exporting just a regular report from Report Designer using the 'Print to File' option. It's a list of our residents along with their related data for our insurance company. I've noticed that some of the fields do not add any extra spaces, but others do.

Well as I said exporting CR to Excel is not the best option. Look at extracting data from Sage 300 using Excel from the Data > From Other Sources menu. You can query the Sage 300 database and extract what you need.

That may be a ways above my skill level, but I'll see what I can do with it. Another complication of the procedure is that eventually I'll need to get this process automated so that I'm not sending reports manually every day. Do you think the MyAssistant module would be able to pull the database query and send it off to the insurance company? Thanks for your help by the way.

What is MyAssistant?
I think you are using Timberline - in which case you are on the wrong forum, this is for Sage 300 ERP.
