There should be several articles in the KB if you search "installation interrupted" but generally, this can happen if something in the environment is preventing the installation. Check the following:
1. No other applications are running
2. Antivirus software should be temporarily disabled during the installation
3. There are no pending Windows updates. Sometimes Windows applies updates but requires a reboot to complete the installation. Occasionally, one update depends on the complete installation of another, so several cycles of installation and reboots may be necessary.
Depending on whether this is a server or workstation installation and which version of the software you're working with, we may have other recommendations if the above does not resolve your issue.
One other thing to try is to go into the prerequisites folder in the installer and go into the VC_80 and VC_90 folders and install the 32-bit and 64-bit installers in both those folders. All the workstations I had issues with during our 14.1 to 16.1 upgrade, I was able to install by either installing those pre-reqs manually, or using the UNC path as above.
Hello SSteve and thank you Solutionworx! I would recommend visiting the Sage Knowledgebase for solutions in case you still have the error after installing the VC_80 and VC_90 prerequisites (see support.na.sage.com/.../viewdocument.do.
