My Assistant Pre-Built Conditions for Employee Birthdays no longer working

SOLVED

I have used the pre-built condition "PR Employees whose birthday is today" for a couple of years without fail. Now all of a sudden it won't work.  When I open the MA task and "test" the condition it brings up the birthday of the employee whose birthday is today, but when I run the task it says that no conditions were met.  I believe this began after upgrading to 13.1.26 (13.1.0 Rev 7 Acc Update 9). I have copied the condition and made it my own and attached it to a new task and have the same results as the pre-built task. I also checked the event log on the server where MY is located and found nothing. The pre-built anniversary condition has the same results. Does anyone have any other troubleshooting ideas I can try?  Thanks in advance.

    MJ Hamik,

There are a couple of things to look at.

First, when you test the condition, you are using the local ODBC DSN's and the local credentials found in File>Options when in MyAssistant. It may be a good idea to note who this Sage 300 CRE user is, especially if it is not you.

When you run the task itself, you are using the ISDAdminTaskService Windows service on the server and you are using the credentials found in the MyAssistant Configuration Manager on the server for that Sage 300 CRE user.

So since the test condition works, the issue should be at the MyAssistant server.

    • I would first suggest checking the Sage 300 CRE user and password in the MyAssistant configuration manager.
    • Next, I would look as thte ISDAdminTaskService and the ISDAdminSenderService. If they are still logging on as the Local System Account, I would try changing this to an active Windows account who has access to all of the Sage 300 CRE files. For detailed steps, you can review the knowledgebase article "How do I change the login for the MyAssistant services?" Note* If these services were logging on as a specific Windows user prior to an upgrade, they would have been reset to Local System Account when the services were recreated during the upgrade install.
    • If you have not done so already, you will also want to check the Windows Event Log and see if there is anything that you can use in a knowledgebase search.
    • You can also review the ODBC DSN setup and verify that you are pointing at the right company folder on the server.
    • You can also call support.

The task appear to be working now.  I reactivated MyAssistant in the configuration manager, stopped and restarted the ISDAdminTaskService and ISDAdminSenderService . Both tasks appear to be working now.

    Thanks Casey!
