Customer Status

Looking to add a status.  we currently use the inactive for customers over 60 days this way they cannot generate any more debt...its working great..however i would like a closed status for either write offs or older customers, if i use inactive they appear on my list when trying to sort through and collect over 60 days, so i am trying to have another category so they will just not be on the list at all.

Any insight?  Thanks,

    Hi Tacha,

Thanks for your question! Can you clarify what module of Sage 300 CRE you are wanting to add this status in and what version of the software you are currently using?

    Hi Tacha -

If you are using Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Accounts Receivable, there are only 3 statuses available:

Active—allows processing of all invoices for this customer.

On hold—generates a warning when an invoice is entered for this customer.

Inactive—prevents invoices from being generated for this inactive customer.

If you are needing a status for reporting purposes, you may want to look into using a different field on the customer along with a status for the reporting purposes such as the Key 1 and Key 2 fields, or the checklist fields or even creating custom fields.  These would not stop invoices from being generated unless were used in conjunction with the customer status but would work for report conditioning purposes.

If you would like more statuses, you can always enter an enhancement request by following the link in article 39299,  How do i submit "How do I submit enhancement requests for Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?
