Security - Access based on PM

We have security setup from initial install that utilizes a "Condition" to restrict access to job records. A formula of "Operator = Project Manager" is used to allow project manager to view their projects only. This causes issues for anyone other that PM who does an inquiry as they have to remove the condition.

What would be the best way to setup security permissions? task, files or records?

    You could use Record security to do this. Record Security allows you to restrict access to reports and inquiries to specific roles. As long as the user is a member of the role assigned to the project, they would be able to access the information.

    Also, you can go to you Help menu and select Product Documents. There you can find the User's Guide that has a chapter on security.
