Delete User vs Account Unavailable

We are cleaning up the list of users that has accumulated over the years. Are there any implications to deleting a user?

    Hi John,

    Provided that the users are no longer needed, this shouldn't cause any issues.  All of the User Stamp fields within the tables of the actual company data folder(s) will still reflect the most recent user to update any given record, but these are for reporting purposes and don't actually relate back to the security once they've been written.

    I would recommend making a backup of your Global folder prior to making any major changes however, just in case.  This folder will be located on the file server under C:\ProgramData\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting, and contains all of the tables related to Security Administration as well as the Log Viewer.

    Even if a user is deleted that actually shouldn't have been, you can always add them back as well.
