We have 2 companies, one of which we are just bringing over to the new system (Sage CRE). They share many of the same vendors and we have many intercompany entries as well . Would it be easier to set up a new company prefix within the current company or should we just open a new company file all together?

    I believe we spoke over chat last Friday about this issue. To those interested, the workaround will vary on the destination folders fiscal entity settings.

    If the destination folder is set to run fiscal entities at the prefix level, you can setup a new prefix to establish that new company. If the destination folder is set to run fiscal entities at the company folder leve, a new data folder will need to be set up for that new company.

    The new company folder would result in setting everything up brand new but you could use a hybrid version of the steps from article 17240 in the support knowledgebase to start your folder.
