Sage 300 CRE - Version 13.1 Pervasive Update 1

This post applies to customers using version 13.1 of Sage 300 CRE (formerly Sage Timberline Office). If you are currently running version 12.1 or earlier, this notice does not apply to you. Pervasive Update 1 contains critical maintenance fixes that will resolve issues with Pervasive v11 license management and improve general application stability. This update does not require any data upgrade.

Please follow these steps for help with a resolution:

  • Log into the Customer Portal
  • Go to Knowledgebase > Find Solutions
  • Search for "KB1310" to find the following article titled "Sage Timberline Office 13.1 Release Information."
  • Scroll down to the "Most Recent Update or Hotfixes" section and click on the "Pervasive Critical Update 1" link

  • It was unclear to us if this Pervasive Update 1 was required or not for 13.1 Rev 4 installation.  We did it anyway just in case.

    Way to be on top of it Mike! It's always good protocol to be on top of the latest updates for the software. Be sure to also subscribe to article KB210 in the Customer Portal to get emails about the latest updates and notices!

    Hopefully I can clear things up a little bit for you!

    The Pervasive Update 1 was suggested for all 13.1 installations, in addition there is now update 4 available (which includes Pervasive Update 1 so you wouldnt have to reapply that on new workstation installs) from KB1310 which you may be interested in installing as well as a fix for the Pervasive Monitor Utility, also linked on KB1310.

    13.1 Rev 4 Update 4 is the most up to date you can be at this point with the addition of the PMU fix.
