Can I still change the current month rent charges after posting rent roll?

SUGGESTED

I already posted the rent roll at the beginning of the month, however there was a lease amendment that lowered base rent starting the first day of the current month.

Is there a way in PM Change Lease/ Amend Lease to re-post the current month rent roll so the adjustment occurs on the first day of the month?

    Hi Chestnut,

Since you already generated and posted the rent roll, you'll need to adjust the charge that was created. You can do this in either Miscellaneous Entries as a Charge Adjustment or you can use Change Entries to edit the charge and change the amount.

You'll need to change the recurring charge on the lease to enter the new effective date and amount. Backdating the effective date will not create any retroactive charges or adjustments.

You can refer to knowledgebase articles 30327 "How do I change the recurring charge amount on a lease in Property Management?" and 25836 "How do I adjust or remove charges in Property Management?"
