Purchasing Module Hung during 14.1 data Upgrade

SOLVED

The PO upgrade process hung and now when launching the PO module it says the upgrade is in progress by another user and closes the PO module.  Rebooting the server did not change anything.  Currently running file doctor, but think I may need a special tool to fix this issue.

Thanks,

Mike

Kaohu Ah Yo is correct the KB  24113 is the solution to that Issue.

The reason for the error is that someone started the upgrade and the users name and time are entered in the Db.ver file, which causes the error

    Generally the solution is to:

    First rename the POIVData folder

Next find the .zip file with the date and time of the attempted/failed upgrade and restore that to a NEW POIVData folder.

Then create a db.ver txt file with the correct version

If 9.8 or greater that version is 9.8.10

It might also help to understand the process the that PO data upgrade performs

1-creates a backup, a .zip of the POIVData (doesn’t contain DDF)

2-copied the data to a new folder 00001po

3-create a new POIVData with new .dat files

4- The data is written from the 000001poiv folder to the new POIVData folder

I hope that you find this information useful
