Windows Server 2012 - Printer Redirection / Help!

Hello,

We recently deployed a new server running Windows Server 2012 Standard. The server is standalone and used solely for remote sessions. Have Sage 300 Accounting and Estimating installed. All patches applied.

We cannot print via printer redirection from Sage Accounting.  Redirected printers show up normally, but print jobs simply disappear. We receive no errors on the server or printer. We can print normally to the redirected printers from other apps.

We need to print payroll and this is becoming a crisis!

Thanks!

    Hello,

We recently moved Sage 300 to the cloud also using Windows Server 2012. We encountered this same issue. Our sage partner helped us figure it out. You will need to install the PCL5 or PCL6 printer driver on each of the local machines that will be accessing Sage remotely. The best thing to do is uninstall the printer from the local machine and then reinstall the printer using either one of the printer drivers listed above. You can typically get the PCL drivers from the printer manufacturer's website. Once you get the drivers installed, restart the local machine and reconnect to the remote server. Hopefully anything you print will now work.

    Good Luck!
