WE enter our Change Orders through project management.

Billing bills line items based on the contract items set up on the contract in Contracts. When using Project Management, the change request controls the contract items for the changes. This means that you have some options.

You can review knowledgebase article 20642 - "How do I change the contract item linked to my approved change order in Project Management?" This will show you have to change the contract item assigned to the change request. You can also Quick-add a new contract item by entering a new item ID on the change request.
