Some issues in sage estimate (timberline)

We are a contracting company in Saudi Arabia, in beginning of this year we start using Sage timberline for estimating ,

but we faced some issues while using software ...

entering items from Client BOQ (bill of quantities) to sage estimate, it takes too much time specially if we have more than 10 BOQ for one project.

we discussed this issue with Timberline Representative Saudi Arabia, and his solution as following:

To import data in to any database-based Software it is required to provide the data in a particular format – the same for Sage Timberline.

so we have to arrange Client excel BOQ to match that format , then IT Department will care about transfer data from this master format to sage soft ware.

but this solution wastes a lot of time to arrange each BOQ to match that master format , and note that BOQ arrangement is deffirent from client to client.

Alternative option form the representative:

"If it is taking time to reformat the Excel data to meet Sage Timberline’s format, it is not required to have import to happen upfront before starting the estimation, you can ALSO copy/paste the BOQ as you go with the estimation (BOQ Item by Item) and you will have the full BOQ in Sage Timberline Estimating when you finish the Estimation – This way you will not be spending a lot of time to reformat (to import)

o   Or, simply put the Item number in Sage Timberline as the BOQ Reference.

So please advice if there another solutions.
