Database Issue. All of the sudden can not locate databases. PLEASE HELP

Question

We were having no issues opening existing and new databases. Then all of the sudden, today, we open timberline up and no data bases can be found. It is saying it does not contain a valad data base when opening the timberline program. And, when going to new data, and trying to open the pei.dat file, its saying its not a valad database. It was working fine last time we used it on Aug 8th. Nothing was changed, using the same folder to retrieve the databases. Nothing was DL or changed to the computer. I have no idea why we can not open any of our data bases. Please help, thank you.

Make sure that Pervasive is still running on both the server and workstations. Also, if you find that you are missing the data as Chris W has mentioned, you will need to restore from a backup. If all that fails, it may be a good idea to call into support at 800-551-8307 and someone can go through in depth.
