Permissions on attachment folders changed with upgrade to version 20.2.35

Yesterday, I decided to update to the latest version of Sage 100 Contractor (version 20.2.35.0)  When I went to Upgrade the database I was denied permissions to access folders (yes, I was logged on as my system admin).  After two unhelpful hours on the phone with technical support, I was told to contact my IT person.  Our operations were down completely (yes, I should have waited until the weekend to do this).  

After I got off the phone, I was able to figure out how to give myself permissions to the folder, but then got another error for a folder within the folder.  I fixed that and the errors repeated and I fixed them. I was able to get us operational.

Today, my IT guy came in and had a frustrating conversation with technical support that led to us Googling how to grant permissions. We went through individual attachment folders and gave permissions on 200+ Service Report attachment folders with my IT Guy.  I was able to upgrade the database.  This would be great except for the fact that our office staff cannot access the attachments from their logins.  I can access the attachments, but for some reason they can't.  They are getting access denied errors when they attempt to open the attachments from the work orders.

We are also having attachment issues from items coming from SSO and I'm wondering if it's all related.  It seems like the attachments are causing the problem.  

I did go through the attachments and it looked as if all of the ones that were blocking us out were created by the same user.
