How to Set Up a Shift Differential and Out of Town rate for payroll?

Good Afternoon Fellow Sage 100 Contractor Users!

I would like to set up something in Sage that will allow me to pay people an extra $1 for working evening shift and pay an extra $1 for working on an out of town job.

Initially, I wanted to use a Paygroup and tie it to out of town jobs - set up a piece rate and pay them an additional $1. The problem I am having with this is that Paygroups have a set pay wage + $1 so when I have people making different wages it doesn't work. I would like do use pay wage "x" + $1 so that it will go off of whatever pay wage is tied to that employee plus $1. Does that make sense?

The other issue I am having is setting up a pay code/type something for a shift differential. We want to pay them an extra $1 if they work between a certain times in the evening/night. I talked to a Sage Tech support person who said I couldn't create a new Pay Rate Type & there isn't a kind of 'user defined' pay rate I can set up on the employee compensation tab.

Has anyone run into this issue? How were you able to resolve it? Thanks for sharing your ideas and opinions!
