Printing payroll by alpha

When printing payroll checks it prints by employee number is there a way to switch so it prints by alpha? Its not a huge deal, but would like it to match other reports we have.

Hi Elaina - yes, there is. when printing checks in the 5-2-4 screen, at the bottom you will see 3 radio buttons; select the one that says "Sort by Name". this will print the check alphabetically by last name.

On the Canadian Version when you go to print, select sort by name and it prints in alphabetical order. When you request the payroll cheque register select sort/alpha. Your cheque register will be in the same order as the cheques. Hope this helps.
