Is Sage 100 Compatible with Windows 10?

SUGGESTED

I read previous discussions on this topic in July and August 2015 referring to Windows 10  not supported and could be a possibility it would be approx. end of October early November?   Has there been any updates on the testing/compatibility with Windows 10?      Having to replace my laptop, no choice but to have Windows 10 as my OS.   Using Sage 100 Contractor version. 19.4.

    Hello,

Currently there is not a version of Sage 100 Contractor that has been tested with Windows 10 and when it will be compatible has not yet been announced. You can find the upcoming 2016 release system requirements in Knowledgebase Article ID:67758. There are a number of customers successfully running version 19.6 on Windows 10 with minimal to no issues. Some of the issues encountered are addressed in Knowledgebase Article ID:67350. You can also subscribe to Knowledgebase Article ID:67889 for updates on compatibility with Windows 10.

    Thanks,

    David

David, thank you for your response. I did read the knowledgebase articles you referenced and my concern is if I purchase a laptop with Windows 10, and encounter a problem using Sage, there is a strong possibility it may not be supported by technical support. Is there any feedback on how other Sage users are handling these issues not supported?

Currently we do not have any documentation on Sage users and how they are using windows 10. However we do plan to be compliant with Windows 10 in our year end release. If you have further questions on this please feel free to email me directly @ [email protected]

Considering that Windows 10 had it's general release 4 months ago and has already surpassed the 110 million installation mark, and that it is the de facto O/S on new hardware it makes me wonder about what has caused this product support failure: ignorance or incompetence? If Sage doesn't have the resources to resolve and correct any issues of what should be a simple migration perhaps they should get out of the software business!

    Hi Brandi K,
Are you referring to the 19.7 update, released on 12/17/15 with no mention of Windows 10 in the Release Notes?
Or will there be an additional (compliant) year end release?
    Thanks,
