change PO receipt form

SOLVED

How can I add the accounting period to the "System.PO_Receipt"  form?  All of the fields appear to be custom (ie:  po*vndnme)  but they are not listed in calculated fields or in global calculated fields.  We need to add the accounting period the PO receipts are hitting when they get posted because they are not always matching the system date and there isn't a way to set up a warning for this discrepancy either.

    Char,

I've test the PO receipts in the software the record is posted to the default period. There is not a way to choose the period during the creation of the 12-4 record and I was not able to directly change the period on the 1-3 JT. I was able to edit that period by changing the period on the 4-2 invoice for that record.

When you say the records are not matching the system date do you mean the default posting period?

Here is a suggestion that may help...

Because a 4-2 invoice is also created when the PO Receipt is saved and it has to be in either Review or Dispute status, I edited a query to give me the information I wanted.

Open the 4-2 window and click the Find Records icon (the binoculars).

Click on the All A/P Invoices~by Vendor/Status and then click Edit.

Click Yes to the message "Would you like to make a copy?"

Edit the name as you'd like and click Next.

In the Fields in the A/P Invoices Table window double-click the Invoice Date and Period field names.

    Click Next.

In the Fields in the A/P Invoices Table window double-click the Entered field name.

    Click Finish.

When you run the query you can then choose a specific entry date, a specific invoice record status or both. When the query comes up the period and invoice date columns will be next to each other so you can easily compare and then make changes if needed.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks Angela

Because this is related to inventory, most of the time we are unable to just edit the AP invoice because the inventory has already been allocated.  But I do like the query idea so I will set that up.  We are also trying to create an alert so we know right away.
