Time Card Posting

My question has to do with with daily posing of time. I would like to get an unposted labor report daily. Should I create teh time cards daily? I am not sure at what point in the process does "unposted time" go to the job costing?

This does not answer what I am looking for. I have read the time entry and the create time cards. As I have a report that allows me to see unposted labor so I can obtain real-time (or at least close) job cost. When I enter the time on the daily entry, The amounts do not show. I am looking for the exact procedure that shows when time show unposted to the individual job. Is it create timecards? Or is it on compute trial balance?

So time in daily payroll 5-5-1 isn't in "timecards"/payroll records 5-2-2 yet. When the daily records get imported to timecards, they will no longer exist in daily payroll. Only timecards get computed, and the final compute is what creates the actual job costs.
But there are other reports that will include uncomputed payroll but you will have to supply the burden % in order for the report to include that. 6-1-3-41 and 6-8-1 Cost to Complete. If the report you are referring to is custom, then I don't know the answer.

My only question has to do with when the daily entry becomes time cards, then the costs are "unposted labor"? I know when the actual costs are placed on jobs. I need the step or process that transforms the time into unposted labor. That coupled with my actual costs will give the close to real time costing. We pay every two weeks and I cannot get an actual job cost report until the check is cut. I want to perform daily entry and proceed until we can get the unposted labor report and I need to know EXACTLY when that process happens. Can you tell me that? I would really appreciate it.
