If so do you have any how to do it successfully ?

Right now our sage 100 contractor serer is on a windows 10 pro machine we are on a peer to peer with a nas box as files server want to move to a domain setting

we have 10 users 5 use sage contractor

all users endpoints are on windows 10 pro

We have a sage partner but we are paying for sage support plan and dont understand why we need to pay for sage support and for a partner to assist in this .

Please advise and thank you in advances

I'm about to embark on the same install, but was waiting on Sage to officially support Windows Server 2016... Have they rolled out official support yet?

We are very new to sage. and are planning on going live this week. If I can get users working. We have a new domain server with 5 computers that are set up as a work group. I have spent hours on the phone with IT trying to get our workstations to communicate with the server...getting very frustrating. So in short I don't think they have 2016 server support yet.

We are getting Error 2, -2, 1, 8, 3, 4, 5 depending on the time we try and if we do SQL or Windows authentification.
I have one workstation on Windows 7 that I can log in from...all the ones on 10 have yet to work.

Here's what I have learned so far:

The users of the workstations and server need to have the same passwords so that they will communicate to each other.

Sometimes the program doesn't create a new data folder and you have to create one for the user (this is a known issue that will be fixed on a future update)

Still working on it and waiting for my IT guy to make sure on the users and passwords, so I will be interested to hear what you find out too.

So the thing that worked was to change the computers from a workgroup to domain users. Required a lot of work...but we can now use Sage. They made it sound (Support) like we needed to create individual users on the server. That is not the case. Works like a charm now. Could have used that information before we set up our network/computers/server...
