Can I schedule a committed cost report?

SUGGESTED

I'd like to schedule a weekly email for 21 - Committed Costs report, but the schedule button is grayed out. However, that button becomes available if i selects 51 - Committed Costs~Developer. I'm wondering why report 51 can be scheduled but 21 cannot as 21 is the one I really want to use.

Thank you.

I think you will find that a report is not schedulable because there is the possibility that a user may need to provide additional input (what we call a report variable) to run the report under certain circumstances.

In the case of the 6-1-12-21 Committed Costs report, if you check the box to include uncomputed payroll as a committed cost, the report asks the user for an estimated labor burden rate for the uncomputed payroll. There is no way to save a default labor burden rate without hard coding it into the report, which Sage won't do because labor burden rates can vary significantly from user to user.

This is frustrating because the only report that compares budget and committed cost is 6-1-12-21. 6-1-12-61 doesn't show budget but show proposal value instead which doesn't make sense to us. Is there a similar report to 6-1-12-21 that doesn't have a variable?

No other system reports that I can think of compare the Current Budget to Current and Committed Costs outside of 6-1-12-21, -31 and -41.
