Reports Project Hours vs Budgeted Hours

I am new to this Sage Forum...I have just started the last 3 months using Sage 100, however had 8 years with Sage 300.

I have been modifying some of the reports however, noticed there are several that can not be modified. Some of these I would think would be basic to a construction software.

Are there any custom reports created for other customers posted somewhere on this site that a person could download and utilize.

I am looking for a Project Actual Hours vs Budgeted Hours Report by area / by cost code / capable of being summarized by Employee. (With no $$ that I could sent to Proj Supers or Foremen)

I don't have a custom report for that but it doesn't sound like anything to difficult to do with Crystal.

Is this Sage 100 (ERP) or Sage 100 Contractor? Not entirely clear from your original post.

Tom, I am using Sage 100 Contractor - just amazed at the limited number of reports. While I can modify editable reports if the fields are available in the current database I am certainly have no crystal reports skills.

The only report I have found that gives actual to budget hours is 6-1-2-47 but it is part of the total job costing report. We had our consultant create a Crystal Report that lists the jobs in a single row with this info (along with other info). It seems like it should be a fairly easy report to create in the Queries but I have not yet created one.

I had looked at that one and it would have been great if it was modifiable allowing me to opened and edited collapsing the detail. I probably need to take a report-writing class as I am finding the canned reports quite cover the information in a format to disseminate to some of the Supers or Foremen.

The report writing classes are really good and learning to use the queries gives you many more options for customizable reports. Have a great day!
