Urgently need assistance with a Business works 2011 data corruption

I have a client who I just started with. They are seeing lots of issues which look like bad data corruption. The previous guy recommended they reboot the server whenever things hung up, so I think whole batches of data have been lost. BW still functions. When I did a rebuild of AP and AR, no problems were found. IC found 50 problems, but they didn't seem very relevant. 

Here is an example of an issue: Bank rec and GL would agree to the penny up until sometime in October when they were off by thousands. GL shows sales about 500,000 for a month, but the sales activity report for the same period only shows 100,000. A particular vendor had only 2 AP invoices show up as unpaid, but there should be about 20 and the 20 inventory receipts did show up in the report. 

I've only worked with BW a little, Sage 300, Sage Pro, and Sage 50 are our wheelhouse. 

They have a backup from September which may be ok. They have not successfully closed October yet. The accountant is urging them to provide financials, but these are garbage at this point.

    We will need to open a support case for this issue. Please call Customer Support - 800-447-5700 option 3. You will need to have your client's customer account id which will begin with 400...  They will need to have a current business care plan with an available support case, otherwise you will be routed to Sales in order to purchase or upgrade the business care plan. We will then be able to assist you in resolving this issue.
