Number of Decimal Places in Weight field

I saw one other question on this topic, but without a suitable answer for my prospective client.  Is anyone aware of a modification that would allow more decimals in the weight field in Maintain Parts?

    So the short answer, is there is no way to directly modify the field .

    When I tried in the BW demo company a error message read from 0 to 9999.99 , I tried 99999999

    and I then edited a part to 0.01  but there is no unit of weight

    Currently, the system only allows amounts from 0 to 9999.99.  There is an enhancement request to allow additional amounts #87308 Enhancement:  Increase the number of digits allow in the shipping weight.  We recommend if you would like to see this feature (or any feature) considered for a future release please send your request to [email protected].  Those requests are reviewed regularly.  They like to hear directly from the customer how it is impacting your business and how this could help improve how they use Sage BusinessWorks.
