If its the "old" style of reporting then I think your out of luck. We had similar request 8 or 9 years ago

What do you mean by "old" style?

I use the basic statement form in the DEMO company and
I tried editing the form that you use for statements,

I did not see "currency" as a format ie "$" and comma, to format the output.

Unfortunately, there is no option to add commas or dollar signs to customer Statements in Sage BusinessWorks. Although this does not help you for statements, there is a feature to add them to AR Invoices, OE Invoices and OE Sales Orders.
