Businessworks (Not Responding) message when sending email.

I often get an error message (not responding) when trying to email an invoice or estimate (right after i push the email icon).  BW basically hangs up (the window goes fuzzy) for about 15 seconds, and then it (the email dialog send box) pops up and i can continue with sending the  quote or invoice.  I have this on multiple computers, so i don't believe it's the PC setup.  If I do this directly on the server, it's faster.  I have a gig network and very fast machines.  What's going on here?
