Customer Notes Problem

My company uses customer notes religiously to record various events that take place on a customer's account or for an order that is currently in house.

Ex. PO received, artwork received, order invoiced...

However, there is a fatal flaw with this system because the customer notes is not an unlimited text box and if multiple departments are in the same customer notes at the same time, the last person to save overwrites the previous person's additions.

There seems to be no solution outside of looking for a 3rd party developer to integrate something or using some sort of system outside of BusinessWorks to accomplish what we're trying to do.

This is causing a lot of issues and we've been doing our best to educate users to help maximize the limited text box in customer notes, but we're tired of this and want to find a real solution.

Do you have any suggestions on a good way to accomplish this or is there already a 3rd party solution that could accomplish this?
