Weird that the password changed to blank (default) .
Did the data files get moved or a full reinstall occur?
I have restored companies and renamed them and last year created a "new" company, but the MANAGER password has not changed unless I changed it.
We will need more information to troubleshoot this issue. There is only one MANAGER user in Sage BusinessWorks and it applies to all companies. You can try to go into SM, Utilities, Maintain Users and for the MANAGER account just click on Security Settings and see if it updates correctly. It would be best to contact Customer Support 800-447-5700.
