Taking forever to load program,

Hi

I have BW 2012, and have not had any problem with it, but within the last month or so, I have had to reboot the server, and reboot the network in order to get it to work.  

Now as far as MY computer ... it takes (if it makes it to the splash screen) minimum of 5 minutes to get past the splash screen and then takes another 5 - 10 minutes to get to my login prompt .. 

The different pods within the program take forever as well .. If I'm entering AP invoices .. I can enter an invoice, and go get myself a cup of coffee or a glass of water, and be back just in time for it to be ready for the next invoice .. At this rate, I will be entering September invoices in December ?? 

This doesn't seem to be MY computer, because all of my other programs work fine ... internet, Excel, Word, Outlook .. the only program I am having problems with snailism's is BW .. 

Can anyone tell me a direction to look to find where the problem is coming from ??

    Possible areas to review:

    Check server logs for issues with its network interface

    Anti virus software / anti-spyware - scanning the BW data files should be turned off

    Network cards - in the PC / server

    Network wires - patch cables - can go bad , loose connection in back of PC or switch

    Network switch port  ( try plugging in a different open port )

    Is your switch Gigabit and your connection has changed to a slower speed?

    review switch lights, local PC network status

    Can the slow load be duplicated at another PC ?

    Try COPYING a large file to and from the server  ( the BW backup ZIPs ) , try on a few PCs, time with watch

    ( windows 7 & 8 , show DETAILS on file copy, watch graph and time to complete )

    Try turning off the anti virus software at the server.
