Adding part images slowing database down?

SOLVED

We've been gradually adding images for our inventory parts, and now the database seems to be slowing down, particularly for part lookups. Anyone with experience with the part photos? Could they be causing the slowdown or should I look elsewhere?

If it is the photos perhaps I could make sure they are a small size.

    Thank you.

Am I able to access where the photos are stored? I would like to see which ones are large rather than go through and replace them all.

I wonder if there might be a better way to do this. Maybe the photo locations can be more like a link rather than attached to the part data. This way, you could even use the same photo for multiple parts if they look the same.

    SUGGESTED

Hi Jerry - just following up (there appears to be a 'blank/empty' post).  If you have any additional questions on this issue, please let us know.

Oh thanks. Not sure what happened.

I wanted to ask if the image files are accessible as I would like to see which are large and replace those rather than replace them all. Do you know where they are stored?

Also, maybe an enhancement suggestion: The pictures could be stored separately from the part data. They would be connected with something like a link. That way the same image could even be used for multiple products if they look the same.

Thank you. (Not sure why my previous comment isn't showing. Does this still only work on I.E.?)

    Jerry,

They can be in a sub folder.

    I used

    \\server\sage\bwdata\{companyname}\images

They also should be linked in the IC.PART IMAGE TYPE  & IMAGE
