You can delete parts by importing.  Review resolution article #18720 How to import inventory parts.  Also review resoltuion #26800 How to delete inactive parts.  

A part can be deleted if:

-There are no transactions on the part

-The on hand quantity is zero

-The part is not on a purchase quote, sales order, invoice or purchase order
