Businessworks 2012 Job Costing Barcode Solution

Hello All,

I help run a job shop where no two jobs are physically alike. However all of the jobs go through the same general types of labor and i need to be able to seamlessly track the jobs as they go through the phases until completion. What i want to do is use a barcode scanning system so my employees can scan into a specific job, select the phase or type of work they are doing on that job, and have their labor hours on that job tracked and simultaneously update the job status. This would eliminate data input for daily hours sheets and cut down on wasted time filling out paperwork. I also would like that barcode system to work with our inventory system. 

We have had businessworks for about 10 years now and the owner would love to stick with it if possible if we could attain these features. Is there is a third party program that would be able to effectively integrate with the system that would be ideal for what i need?

    AAFPS, Payroll will post to Job cost, but you would need to setup job codes that match task codes in Payroll. Plus you would have to enter the hours on the timecard for each task. We do not have a way to scan barcodes into the Job Cost module. However we do have master developers that might be able to help you such as www.crockerandassociates.com or www.bestasc.com.
