Server Backup

We are looking to implement automated backup software on our Windows 2003 server. What conditions need to exist to do a "cold" backup of the Pervasive database? Can we do a backup with the pervasive engine running as long as no users are logged in? Anyone have a specific program they have found that is Pervasive-friendly?

The only supported backup is the backup done within the program. If backing up outside the program it must be a complete backup of each company folder. Pervasive can be running. No users can be in Sage BusinessWorks.
