Inventory Count

Hello!

We're counting our inventory and have a couple questions:

1.  When we do a physical count and it zero's out for us to enter in the actual count, does it also zero out the "Committed" values?

2. We export our Physical Count to excel and then do the count on the sheets - can we then Import the excel sheet, or do we have to manually make the count variance/change?

Thanks,

Dave

    Hi QEDDave,

    1. When you enter the count quantity, this is only the onhand quantity and will not affect the committed quantity.

    2. You can import the count using a text file.  it must be a text-only comma-delimited file with the layout as quantity, part number, part number. For example:

    10,SP-101,SP-101

    100,CD-204,CD-204

    1.5,FX-280,FX-280

Click the Import Counts button on the Physical Inventory window. Enter the file locations, and click the Import button.

You can print variance report after this step.

For more information, please go to Help in Sage BusinessVision > Contents and Index > search for Physical Inventory - Processing Quantities and Adjustments

    Hope this answers your questions.
