After upgrading to 2017.2 in SAGE 50 Premium Canadian, we are getting an error message regarding a debugging function whenever we access the recurring transaction feature and we can no longer tab through the list using the alpha selection.

It still works with the mouse, the bug is that it doesn't work from the keyboard.

The prediction is not until the October release.   Not sure why they wouldn't issue a small patch file.

We are all having the same issue and it is a pain and time consuming.  Now we are also having problems with 3 users that when they look ups sales orders.  Simply Quantum crashes and closes.  Simply techs cannot find a fix for it.  This is driving us crazy.  My tech guy says that he has 2 other companies that are having the same problem.   Anyone else having this problem?

There was a fix in the update this month. Now you can alpha select by typing the first few letters of the word, instead of only the first one. Different, but there is no error message, so it seems stable...

It's good that it's fixed, hopefully this has also been made consistent throughout the software, instead of being a little different in each module / screen.  

I've installed the October release and the bug is still there. I type a letter for the recurring transaction and the error message comes up, then if I press 'Continue' I can press the letter again and it goes to that alphabetic section, I can't enter additional letters though to define the search further.

I can't alpha search to select the first few letters of the word. I still get the error message but can continue if I press 'Continue' and then press the search letter again. I have also done the most current October update.

That's interesting, because it works fine for me. Except that I liked the old way better (selecting only by the first letter; it is still this way in the Recall window in General Journal). If I could give feedback, I would :) I suppose that this isn't a very important part of the software system

What differences do you know of? The only thing I know is that the Recall Recurring window in General Journal has always worked and stays the same.

My general journal and payments journal actually work but my sales journal and purchases journal don't. In the ones that work, they only work with a single letter not a series of letters as stated by derzq. 

The major fix to this Error Message has been done in the 2018 version. It works in all of the journals. It also works with typing multiple letters. But you have to be in the 2018 version not the 2017.2. The multiple letters does not work in the general journal

Thanks for the info, now I'm not so p'd off. Just frustrated that it takes forever to fix an error from a previous update. When might this update be coming out?

We have this update already, maybe not everyone gets it at once.

The multiple letters is not true for the General Journal.

Do you know if the multiple letters feature is here to stay or if we can change it if we wish?

If you still see an error message, check the 'About' box under Help | About, to make sure you're running the 2018.0 release.  In the latest release any error message should be reported to Sage.
