Sage CA premium -How Transfers of Inventory Items to be reported.

SOLVED

Hi Everyone,

Small business's accounting data are entered by part-time accountants and therefore it is necessary to cross-check the movement of inventories between departments/locations.

But It is a pity that Sage CA premium do not support this very important "Inventory Transfers Report", which makes it impossible to trace as to:" when, where-to-where and why a select inventory items were transferred"; forcing the owners to trust these  actions without any question or record.

Would someone please inform me if there is a way-around to create a Document/Report where I can find date-wise inventory transfers details from  one department to another.

Please do not suggest "Quantum" which is way beyond the budget.

Use the Inv. and Services Trans. Detail Report and filter Adj. and Transfers..... gives you the when and where to where but no WHY. If you want the why then you will need a custom report. I suppose you could put the WHY in the source field.

    Hi GwG,

Thank you for your suggested answer to my query about transfer report.

I am using premier 2014 in which I searched all the options in Report Section, but could not find invoice and services transaction details.

Will you please explain me step by step, where to find the required report.

    verified answer

Inv. and Services Trans. Detail Report  = Inventory & Services Transaction Detail Report

Main Home Screen, Reports, Inventory & Services, Transaction...

Then just pick the options you want for the report.

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for your details and yes with this I was able to create Inventory Transfer Report as needed.

I have also gone through your  BizMan Report site and will try it for the evaluation at a later day.

No problem, I was just translating GwG's acronyms.

And thanks for trying out my BizMan Reports program (when you get a chance).  If you are using a current version of Sage 50, and did not use the Crystal templates in the past, you can use one of the old invoices or customer statements from the older versions if you still have the old ones installed.  If not, then send me an email and I can send you a sample template for testing.
