Year End Procedure

Our year end will be Sept 30. Can we set the session date to Oct. 01 on Oct. 01 and continue to book items for September (Previous fiscal year). Being able to do this would be great as we can keep up with current October entries while still being able to enter items for the previous year (September) as they come in our door.

Thank you for any input on this matter. It has been over 5 years since I have used Simpy/Sage and I am a bit rusty.

Hi

Sage by default allows you post to current and last Fiscal year, so if your year end is Sept 30 2015, after you start New Fiscal year to Oct 1 2015, Sage still allows to post back to last Fiscal year. As long as you do not have Setup, Setting, Company, System, "Do not allow transaction date before: ____" enable; and your prior year 2013-2014 is done, it should be fine.
