How to roll into new year

Simple answer Im sure, but my tax year is from Sept 2012-June 2013 when I was entering sales it came up as

"The date must be between 01/07/2012 and 31/12/2012. If you want to process transactions in the the next year, choose Start new year or change session date from the maintenance menu to start a new year"

Which one is the correct one to use?

Hi Sheena,

Please go to Setup, Setting, Company, information and give me your fiscal start date and end date of your data file.

Current Years Dates says its 01/07/2012 to 30/06/2013.... this is correct as it was just our 1st year operating that was from sept-june...so my year tax is July 1st 2012 to June 30th 2013

Hi Sheena,

Go to Maintenance, change session date and key in 01/01/2013, it will start a new calendar year.

Keep in mind that if you start a new calendar year but using auto payroll, you will no longer be able to do auto payoroll on employee paycheque using the date on or before 31/12/2012.
