YE Adj JE

I have the accountant's TB and did all the year end entries except for one that the adj account was Accounts Receivable.  It will not let me do a JE using this account but I'm not sure why.

    Hi Newbie2,

Accounts Receivable is a linked account. Therefore, you will not be able to select and use it in general journal entry.

If you go to Maintenance, Check Data Integrity and detect there is a data inconsistency between the A/R Balance and the Unpaid invoices, you can unlink Accounts Receivable and you will be able to choose it in general journal entry.   You can follow the link below to access the step to unlink your Accounts Receivable. If you use foreign currency, please do not follow the article as data repair will be needed.

How to solve "Data inconsistencies have been detected"?

If there is no data inconsistency issue, please do not unlink your Accounts Receivable, but do the adjustment in the Accounts Receivables module or you will create data integrity issue.

    Hope this helps
