Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to fix this problem but I can't find anything...
The first thing, when I look at Clients & Revenues module, there's nobody who still have an unpaid balance (and I know all my clients paid).
So everything is fine there. I guess...
When I generate my Balance Sheet, I see the Accounts Receivables are 479.71$.
It should be 0$ since nobody owe me nothing. I printed this report and I noticed it is something with the client deposit I probably didn't do it right.
What I usually do is :
1. Receive the client's deposit (check or cash) and I enter it with the Receipt as a deposit the day it is received. (Let's say 20$)
2. Create an invoice with Pay Later with the date I will actually go to the client. (Let's say 200$)
3. When the final payment is made by the client, I go in Receipt and I can enter the check received and I see the original deposit in red. (This payment would be 180$)
This way, everything work as I want!
But, for a reason I don't know (and please I'd like to know the reason and not only the solution to avoid doing it again) sometime the original deposit doesn't appear at all on the Receipt window.
When I print client Aged detail,
The clients with no problems will show something like this :
2014-03-04 Deposit -44.00
2014-04-30 Applied 44.00
2014-04-27 Invoice 194.00
2014-04-30 Payment -194.00
The clients with problems (those the deposit doesn't appear in red in receipt :
2014-03-08 Deposit -24.98
2014-05-10 Invoice 114.98
2014-05-10 Payment -90.00
So I really don't understand how come I can't apply the deposit of only a few client... and others (90%) are ok!
