End dates for recurring transactions

SOLVED

Hello,

I'm trying to utilize the recurring transactions for my Sage 50 2015 - CA, but i can't help but notice that there's no end date option; yet the documentation i've found online shows there is.

http://help.sage50.na.sage.com/en-us/2017/sage50us/Content/BASICS_HDI/BASICS_HDI_Create_a_recurring_entry.htm

Im simply creating an invoice, selecting store as recurring transactions (Ctrl T) but there's only an option for the name and frequency. I need an end date for this to stop recurring, like after a year for example.

Regards

Please be aware that there are three Sage 50 versions. You are using the Canadian version, the link you gave us has sage50us and en-us in the url. They are not the same programs. Sage 50 Canadian = Simply Accounting, Sage 50 US = Peachtree.

Sorry, I should add that we need to manage the end date manually.

Thank you, I had no idea.

I just did a test drive of a US version and you are correct, it's slightly different and has the feature of the end date for recurring transactions. I hope this is a feature they can include in the near future for Sage 50 - CA edition, as it would save me a lot of time.

You can go to the top of this screen and click on Ideas to enter or vote for the idea.

Or in the program you can select the Help menu, Submit Product Idea to get to the same place.

In this case, when storing the trx, I would name it so it includes a notation to that effect:
Smith, Bob (last time 2018 May1)

The person calling it up as they are processing recurring sale will see this and then either at the time of processing in May - alert sales team it's time to renew/reneg. contract (if applicable), and at time of processing in June to delete this entry and terminate service if not renewed.
