SA Premium release F 2011 vs Sage 50 Premium 2014

SOLVED

I have an opportunity to take over a couple of very small business clients.  The previous bookkeeper has been using Sage 50 Premium 2014 but I have SA Premium 2011 release F.  Are these two programs backwards compatible with their data files? It is not cost effective to upgrade at this time.

Thanks.

    Hi RCL,

If your client uses autopayroll, your SA Premium 2011 release F does not have the latest payroll table, so you will have to do your payroll manually.

Besides, there are  product updates implemented and bud fixes from SA2011 to Sage 50 2014.

The most important part is that if your client is using Sage 50 2014, the data is in 2014 format and you cannot open the data by SA2011.

You can download the trial version and see if it is worth to do the upgrade.

    Hope this helps.
