Cannot Update to Newer Version

SOLVED

I have Sage 50 installed on a computer at work as well as at home so I can bring a backup home to work on. Somehow the work computer has updated to 2014.1  My home computer is still on 2013 Version 4 and will not automatically update to the 2014.1. When I try to install the manually downloaded SA2014CPUP1.exe update I get a message that says no Sage 50 products are installed on my home computer. I've deleted and reinstalled 3 times trying to make this work. Any ideas?

The file "SA2014CPUP1.exe" is only the update to the original version of 2014.1 installation, you need the install package for 2014, you must have downloaded this package on the work computer at some point.  You will need to locate this file or the email with the link to it before you can update your home computer to 2014.  The files that you are looking for might be called located in a folder containing "SA2014.msi".  If you can not locate the file, you will probably need to contact Sage to get them to send a link to the download.  I do not work for Sage!

Try going into Documents --> Sage Software --> Simply Accounting --> Download. There you should see the file called SA_20141CP1.exe, double click on that file to start the upgrade to 2014 version. Once that has been down then most likely you will also get an update notice for Payroll update or for 2014.2 version. If no notice then go back into the Download file as it will show up there as an file called SA_20142CPUP1.exe.  It will only appear in the download folder AFTER the 2014.1 has been downloaded. Same thing - double click on that file to get the payroll update along with the corrections of issues in the original 2014 version.

If you cannot find the exe file then type in the file name exactly as typed above in the search box and that will show you the location of your download files.
