After installing an update I'm getting this error code when launching a company, help..

    That is the version number for the latest release.  

    There may be more information about the error in the Windows Event Log.

    Try shutting down the computer and restarting it.  

    Try opening the sample file.

    I have this problem in 1 of 4 companies that I opened, I can open the bad company by using another company and using Open Company, I’ve tried resaving bad company and opening it but no go.

    If you can open some companies and not others, the problem is likely not in the installation of the program or the operating system.

    Resaving the company makes a copy from the data that's on the hard drive, to another place on the hard drive.  It won't repair the data.

    If you can get a copy of the company data opened, under the Maintenance menu, run the Check Data Integrity report.  

    If that's alright, (also under the Maintenance menu) run the Advanced Database Check.
