Sage-50 CA premium with two users

Hi Everybody,

I have Sage CA premium accounting 2014 on two differently located computers (A and B) both having internet connections but with two different  IP-address.

Would anyone please inform me if there is any way to connect this software through internet with two different IPaddress so that data entered on Sage-50 CA premium on location A computer can automatically be effective on  the Sage 50 premium on location B-computer and vice-verse ; so that the same accounting information is available on both locations without the need of "restoring" data from one computer to another or repeating it manually at both locations or making only one location as server.

Or any other method of connecting this soft-ware to reach the same data on both locations; excluding hosting on clouds.

Thank you/AHK

Yes, it's possible.   But it won't be reliable, if it works at all, and you can convince every ISP along the road to allow those ports to be opened, and you open your own firewall.

It will be terribly insecure, I doubt the packets will be encrypted.   It will disconnect, and it'll probably be slow.  Even with VPN software, it probably won't be reliable.

The best is probably to use a host computer, whether someone outside your main office, which seems to have become vogue to call 'the cloud', even when it's not, or running a terminal server.

If you have one machine that is always on, you can use remote access software to connect to it from the other.  (LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, TeamViewer, Remote Desktop, etc.)    Microsoft limits the number of active desktop sessions, on desktop systems to One.

If you need two mobile workstations, you'll probably need a server.  If you need one mobile and one desktop connected locally, you can just use ordinary workstations, with a workstation O/S.

In other words, if you need one remote connection, any PC at the office end will do.  If you need two, either you need a Terminal Server, or two PCs with different remote access accounts.
